Restaurant Group Slams IRS' Latest ACA Reporting Rules

Law360, New York (March 6, 2014, 4:16 PM EST) -- A group of more than 500,000 restaurants on Thursday slammed the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s recently finalized reporting requirements related to the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate, saying they are overly burdensome.

According to the National Restaurant Association, the new ACA data gathering requirements that begin for businesses Jan. 1, 2015, are complex, and the data must be transmitted to the Internal Revenue Service in early 2016 using complicated forms.
