Md. House Backs Increasing Estate Tax Exemption

Law360, New York (March 10, 2014, 4:41 PM EDT) -- The Maryland House of Delegates on Friday backed a proposal that would gradually increase the level for which a decedent would be subject to the state's estate tax from $1 million to $4 million over the next four years, before linking with levels set in the federal tax code.
