OECD Presses Countries To Work Together On Tourism Taxes

Law360, New York (March 7, 2014, 4:15 PM EST) -- The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on Friday urged its 48 member and partner nations to work together to create sustainable tourism taxation policies, in an effort to boost economic growth.

Currently, many OECD governments fail to analyze and track how tourism-related tax policy affects the economic health of their countries, and according to the OECD, member nations will suffer the economic consequences if the practice continues.
