JetBlue Nets $400M In Sale Of In-Flight Entertainment Unit

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 1:47 PM EDT) -- JetBlue Airways Corp. will sell its in-flight entertainment business, LiveTV LLC, for $400 million to French aerospace technology and security company Thales Group, allowing the airline to trim operating costs while continuing to provide the service to customers, according to a Thursday statement.

Although JetBlue is waving goodbye to its subsidiary, the airline will still offer LiveTV services to its passengers through long-term agreements established with the unit concurrent with Thales’ acquisition, according to a statement.
