'World Of Warcraft' Owner Gets 3D Patent Suit Scaled Back

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 9:05 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday limited the enforceability of Worlds Inc.'s patents for 3D "virtual worlds," which it has accused Activision Blizzard Inc.'s popular "World of Warcraft" and "Call of Duty" video games of infringing, ruling that the patents are invalid for omitting key information.
