Hoboken Official Settles Suit Over Redacted Legal Bills

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 6:12 PM EDT) -- A Hoboken, N.J., councilwoman has settled her lawsuit accusing the city of overredacting legal bills from a politically connected law firm where a fellow council member is a partner, her attorney said Friday just before a scheduled hearing in the case.

The city has provided Councilwoman Elizabeth Mason with completely unredacted copies of the Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader LLC bills that she had sought as part of a Nov. 1 request under the state's Open Public Records Act, according to attorney Jeffrey Kantowitz. Hoboken Councilman-at-Large...
