Gov't Extends Pre-Existing Condition Plan Another Month

Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2014, 8:06 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Friday said the Obama administration would extend safety net insurance coverage to sick Americans who might have otherwise been singled out for their pre-existing conditions, ending it on April 30 instead of on March 15.

The agency posted a notice on the website for its Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan alerting insurance customers that they may continue their coverage under that plan for one more month simply by paying the premium, at the same monthly rate they paid...
