House Committee Votes To Subpoena EPA Documents

Law360, New York (April 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming voted Wednesday to subpoena the Environmental Protection Agency for all documents showing what progress the agency has made in response to the Supreme Court's landmark Massachusetts v. EPA decision.

The 12-0 vote, which occurred on the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision, means the EPA must show why it has not yet taken any action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
