Former Pa. Liquor Officials Fined For Ethics Violations

Law360, New York (March 17, 2014, 6:24 PM EDT) -- Three former Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board officials must pay thousands of dollars for allegedly accepting gifts from vendors in violation of state ethics law, the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission said Monday.

The commission said that former CEO Walter Joseph Conti, former member and Chairman Patrick Stapleton III and former Director of Marketing and Merchandising James H. Short Jr. must pay fines under a consent agreement in the amount of $2,388.51, $7,258.54 and $13,586.92, respectively, for allegedly accepting various dinners, golf outings, beverages and lodging from PLCB...
