Class Cert Nixed In Walter Energy Suit, Pending Halliburton

Law360, New York (March 18, 2014, 5:47 PM EDT) -- An Alabama federal judge on Tuesday denied a request for class certification by a group of Walter Energy Inc. stockholders alleging the company misled them during an acquisition, saying it would have to wait until the U.S. Supreme Court issues a ruling in a landmark securities case.
