Law Firm Mergers Continue Apace In 2008: Report

Law360, New York (April 02, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Despite signs of an ailing economy, 17 new law firm mergers took place in the United States during the first quarter of this year, according to a legal management consulting firm.

Altman Weil Inc. said Wednesday the 17 firm combinations from January to March kept pace with the number of mergers reported in the last three quarters and surpassed early 2007, which only logged 10 mergers.
