Emsat Lobs Infringement Suits At Telecom Titans

Law360, New York (April 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Emsat Advanced Geo-Location Technology LLC on Monday launched several lawsuits against the wireless industry's largest companies, accusing AT&T Mobility, Alltel Corp., T-Mobile USA Inc., Sprint Nextel Corp. and Verizon Wireless of infringing numerous patents covering location-based cellular phone systems and services.

The suits, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, accuse each of the five defendants of infringing four patents for cell phone technologies that are held by Emsat and exclusively licensed to Location Based Services LLC.
