Franken Urges DOJ To Mull Net Neutrality In Comcast-TWC

Law360, New York (March 20, 2014, 1:31 PM EDT) -- Sen. Al Franken, an outspoken proponent of net neutrality and opponent of the proposed merger of Comcast and Time Warner Cable, pressed regulators Wednesday to consider the “open nature of the Internet” when reviewing the giant deal.

In a letter sent Wednesday to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Minnesota Democrat said Comcast’s $45 billion bid for Time Warner Cable, if approved, would give the Philadelphia-based cable giant too much power over access to the nation's Internet pipes.
