GOP Questions Authority For ACA Employer Mandate Delay

Law360, New York (March 20, 2014, 6:50 PM EDT) -- House Republicans on Thursday widened their latest line of attack against the Obama administration in general and the Affordable Care Act in particular, arguing that regulators overstepped their bounds by delaying the law’s employer mandate.

Members of the House Oversight Committee, in a letter to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, asserted that the agency had improperly flouted the ACA’s clear language when it postponed the requirement for large businesses to supply health benefits.
