Lawmakers Prod EPA To Act On Greenhouse Gases

Law360, New York (April 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two U.S. senators have introduced a bill that would force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to complete an assessment of the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on public health and to reconsider its decision blocking California from tightening pollution standards for cars and trucks.

The measure, introduced Wednesday by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), would give the EPA 60 days to comply with the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Massachusetts v. EPA.
