CFPB Vows To Overhaul Workplace Fairness After Complaints

Law360, Washington (March 21, 2014, 8:59 PM EDT) -- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray on Friday pledged that the agency would do more to promote diversity and fairness within its workforce, following recent controversy over a report showing it was more likely to give high performance ratings to white employees than to minorities.

In an email sent to CFPB staff, Cordray said the agency would develop a plan to improve its “commitment to equality and fairness” in the workplace, both in its hiring and contracting process and in the way its existing staff...
