Few Patents Eyed Under 1st-To-File 1 Year In, USPTO Says

Law360, Washington (April 1, 2014, 7:36 PM EDT) -- One year after the implementation of the first-inventor-to-file patent system in the U.S., over 3,000 patents have been issued under the new system, but they represent a small fraction of all applications, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officials said Tuesday.
