Extra ACA Enrollment Time Boosts Health Care Industry

Law360, New York (March 26, 2014, 4:11 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration on Wednesday outlined new policies that will allow millions of Americans extra time to shop on Affordable Care Act marketplaces, a welcome development for hospitals, drugmakers and insurers counting on extra customers.

The leeway only applies to HealthCare.gov, the federal website that handles enrollment for three dozen states, but there are signs that state regulators running their own exchanges may follow a similar course.
