RE Rumor Mill: Howard Hughes, NeueHouse, WeWork

Law360, New York (March 26, 2014, 7:46 PM EDT) -- The Howard Hughes Corp. has reportedly agreed to buy a 8,128-square-foot parcel at 80 South St. in an effort to work around community opposition to its plans to build a 50-story tower to the north of Pier 17. The City Planning Commission has already approved a 1,000-foot tower at the South Street site, according to the New York Post. Frank Sciame had originally proposed a luxury townhome project for the site, but the project fell through in 2008, though Sciame kept his office in the building....
