Sam Chang Plans 35-Story Midtown West Hotel

Law360, New York (March 26, 2014, 5:10 PM EDT) -- Sam Chang, owner of McSam Hotel Group, has filed permits for a hotel in midtown Manhattan that would cover 177,729 square feet and rise 35 stories, according to property records filed Wednesday.

The hotel at 350 W. 40th St., to be designed by architect Gene Kaufman, would have 594 rooms styled like cabins that would cover less than 300 square feet each, according to the permits.
