DOJ, FCC Working Closely On Comcast-TWC Review

Law360, Washington (March 26, 2014, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice is working closely with the Federal Communication Commission to review Comcast Corp.'s proposed $45 billion bid for Time Warner Cable Inc., a DOJ antitrust official said Wednesday.

The process of reviewing the blockbuster cable merger will likely mirror the same kind of work the two agencies did with one another in reviewing both Comcast's acquisition of NBC universal and AT&T Inc.'s ultimately abandoned bid for T-Mobile US Inc., deputy assistant attorney general Renata Hesse said at the American Bar Association Antitrust...
