Securities Class Action Deals Totaled $5B In 2013

Law360, Los Angeles (March 27, 2014, 3:19 AM EDT) -- Settlements in securities class actions have risen to the highest level since 2007, climbing 46 percent to $4.8 billion in 2013, according to a report released Thursday.

In 2013, 67 deals were settled, up from 57 a year earlier, for the first year-over-year increase in four years, according to the study by Cornerstone Research.
