Google Hires Quattrone For Micro-Hoo Deal Advice

Law360, New York (April 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After dodging a bullet from the National Association of Securities Dealers last summer, former investment banker Frank Quattrone has reportedly signed on with Google Inc. to offer advice on the threat of a possible merger between Yahoo Inc. and Microsoft Corp.

Google CEO Eric E. Schmidt has retained Quattrone's services as it tries to figure out the next step in the battle for Micro-Hoo, the New York Times Dealbook reported on Friday.
