Head Of General Re Steps Down

Law360, New York (April 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following the conviction of four former executives at the company he helmed, the chairman and chief executive officer of General Reinsurance Corp. resigned effective Monday.

Parent company Berkshire Hathaway Inc. announced the resignation of CEO Joseph Brandon on Monday with few details. The company said that he will be replaced by Franklin “Tad” Montrose, who had been serving as the president of General Re.
