Enron Defense Wraps Cross-Examination of 1st Witness

Law360, New York (February 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- After a lengthy day filled with audio and video recordings, the defense has finally completed its cross-examination of the government’s first witness in the fraud and conspiracy trial of Enron’s tarnished top executives, Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling.

On Monday, defense attorneys finished up their questioning of Mark Koenig, Enron’s former head of investor relations, but not before subjecting jurors to some seven hours of recordings.
