3M Age Bias Suit Gets Class Action Status

Law360, New York (April 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move that could affect nearly 6,000 employees of 3M Co., a Minnesota state court judge on Tuesday granted class action status to an age-discrimination lawsuit against the multinational conglomerate.

Judge Gregg E. Johnson of the County of Ramsey District Court in Minneapolis found that the claims of the proposed class raised issues in common to most or all of its members and that a joinder of all members in a single action would be impracticable.
