Raytheon Scores Dismissal Of Kuwaiti Overtime Class Action

Law360, New York (April 29, 2014, 1:55 PM ET) -- A federal court in Massachusetts on Monday tossed a former U.S. defense contractor’s proposed class action alleging the Raytheon Co. failed to pay overtime for work done in Kuwait, ruling that the law of the Middle Eastern country was not incorporated into his employment contract.

Darrell Robinson, who had worked for a Raytheon subsidiary on a U.S. military base in Kuwait until July 2013, sued the defense contractor, alleging it violated Kuwaiti labor laws governing overtime pay during Ramadan and Kuwaiti holidays.
