Deals Rumor Mill: Energy Future, Pfizer, Siemens

By Chelsea Naso (May 5, 2014, 7:22 PM EDT) -- A deregulated unit of Dallas-based power producer Energy Future Holdings Corp., which filed for bankruptcy protection last week, is planning to issue $9 billion of new debt to pay senior creditors, including Apollo Global Management LLC and Oaktree Capital Group LLC, sources told Bloomberg on Monday. First-lien lenders to Texas Competitive Electric Holdings will forgive about $23 billion of debt in exchange for ownership of the restructured company as well as proceeds from the sale of new debt, the report said....
