After Years of Fighting, Gillette and Schick Call Truce

Law360, New York (February 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Marking the end of a ferocious legal battle, the world’s two largest razor makers, Gillette and Schick-Wilkinson Sword, have at last reached a settlement in their long-simmering patent dispute over razor blade technology.

The companies announced the deal on Thursday, calling a cease-fire to a war that has spanned several years and two continents.

Terms of the settlement are confidential but a Gillette spokesperson did reveal that the companies “have resolved the vast majority of litigation between them.”
