AfDB Puts $1B Toward Angola Energy Sector Reforms

Law360, New York (May 13, 2014, 5:54 PM ET) -- The African Development Bank said Tuesday that it has agreed to commit $1 billion in support of the Angolan government's plan to reform, restructure and improve the country's power sector.

According to a Tuesday news release, the African Development Bank made the decision to lend a helping hand after seeing that the Angolan government was already making serious strides towards its goal.
