Tessera Files New ITC Complaint Against Rivals

Law360, New York (April 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In another move to protect its miniature semiconductors, Tessera Technologies Inc. has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission claiming that a group of competitors has infringed on three patents, the company announced Tuesday.

The San Jose-based provider of miniature silicon chip packaging accused Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd., STATS ChipPAC, Ltd., ASE Inc. and ChipMOS Technologies, Inc., and numerous affiliates, of infringing on U.S. Patent Numbers 5,852,326, 6,433,419 and 5,679,977. Tessera said all three patents have been previously upheld in litigation.
