IBM Said To Face EU Scrutiny On Mainframe Business

Law360, New York (April 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- IBM Corp. has reportedly received questions from the European Commission about its business practices, in an inquiry linked to the company's ongoing antitrust and patent infringement litigation against Platform Solutions Inc. in the United States.

The EC sent IBM a questionnaire that posed questions about the company's business in computer mainframes, following up on a complaint that Platform Solutions lodged in a European court, Dow Jones News reported on Tuesday, citing an anonymous antitrust attorney in Brussels.
