Judge Tells NYC To Hold The Calorie Info

Law360, New York (April 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the war over the posting of calorie information rages on in New York City, a U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals judge has issued a temporary stay that will prevent the city from enforcing its proposed requirements for now.

On Wednesday, Judge Robert A. Katzmann of the Second Circuit temporarily froze the city's plan to force chain restaurants to display nutritional information until a three-member panel of the court can consider the New York Restaurant Association's request for a full stay pending appeal next week....
