Amici Allowed To Join In Bilski Oral Arguments

Law360, New York (April 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an unusual move, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has allowed two friends of the court to participate in oral arguments of a high-profile case that could determine the fate of business method patents.

The Federal Circuit ruled Friday that Bank of America Corp. and Regulatory DataCorp Inc. will each get to have a say in the May 8 hearing for In re Bilski, which is examining whether to limit patent eligibility for business methods and other processes.
