Ex-Andersen Accountant Settles Audit Case With SEC

Law360, New York (April 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former partner at defunct accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP has settled claims brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over his role in the auditing of two software companies.

The accountant, Robert Putnam, agreed to a SEC administrative order barring him from practicing for five years, without admitting or denying allegations of professional misconduct in his audits of ebix.com Inc. and HBOC & Co.
