Law360, New York (May 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A proposed class action accuses some of the U.S.' largest health insurance companies, including UnitedHealth Group Inc. and its Ingenix Inc. subsidiary, of defrauding consumers over “out-of-network” reimbursement rates.
The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, proposes a class of all persons who received unlawfully depressed reimbursements from defendants for out-of-network services from as early as Jan. 1, 2004 and continuing through the present.
