Ex-Bear Stearns Trader Sentenced Over Scheme

Law360, New York (May 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former trader with the Bear Stearns Cos. has been sentenced to three years' probation after pleading guilty to charges stemming from his involvement in a massive Wall Street insider trading scheme that netted millions of dollars.

Judge Denny Chin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sentenced Ken Okada at a hearing Tuesday in Manhattan, ordering the disgraced trader to spend one year of his probation confined to his home. He was also fined $300,000 and must forfeit $7,375....
