T-Mobile's "Sidekick" Targeted In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A small patent-holding company is seeking to halt sales of the popular Sidekick wireless e-mail device sold by telecom retailer T-Mobile USA Inc., accusing the company of patent infringement and widespread theft of trade secrets.

The patent infringement complaint also targets New York-based handset manufacturer Sharp Electronics Corp. and California-based push e-mail technology provider Danger Inc., all of which cooperate to compete in the same market as Research In Motion Ltd.’s Blackberry device.
