Hong Kong Ponders Nation's First Competition Law

Law360, New York (May 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hong Kong, long the bastion of free markets and liberalization, is planning on introducing competition legislation for the first time and establishing a new trust-busting enforcement agency.

On Tuesday, the special administrative region launched a second public consultation on a comprehensive, cross-sector law that would foster competition and break up monopolies and duopolies within the area.
