UPS Plane Safety Technology Under Patent Scrutiny

Law360, New York (May 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three patent holders want to ground United Parcel Service Inc. planes for allegedly infringing their intellectual property for broadcast technology that helps prevent aircraft collisions.

WNS Holdings LLC, Intelligent Technologies International Inc. and Mark Allan Eberwine filed a lawsuit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, claiming that data transmission technology in UPS aircraft violate their five collective patents.
