Law360, New York (May 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has denied a law firm's bid for about $2.5 million in fees in a contentious patent dispute over light-emitting diodes, saying counsel for Nichia Corp. failed to explain why it used the federal court system for a case having little to do with the U.S., let alone why Seoul Semiconductor Ltd. should finance its work.
