Judge Refuses To Overturn $90.7M Verdict Against Sony

Law360, New York (March 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Sony Corp. is one step closer to paying rival Immersion Corp. $90.7 million for patent infringement, after a federal judge refused a Sony request to overturn the verdict and order a new trial.

Sony had asked the court to throw out a verdict that found that the company infringed Immersion’s patents for video game controller technology, alleging that during the trial, Immersion had concealed information that could have been useful to Sony’s defense.
