Master Lock Unhinges One Patent From Suit

Law360, New York (May 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Master Lock Co. has succeeded in getting one patent tossed from an infringement suit against it, but it still faces allegations of violating three similar patents.

On Thursday, Judge Lewis T. Babcock of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado granted Master Lock’s motion of summary judgment of noninfringement on a patent for a barbell-shaped lock used to latch a trailer hitch onto a motor vehicle.
