U.K. Court Revokes Aerotel Patent For Obviousness

Law360, New York (May 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The patent at the center of a 2006 landmark ruling that has shaped the way courts and patent examiners in the United Kingdom determine patentability has been ruled invalid for obviousness.

Judge Michael Fysh of the U.K. High Court of Justice ruled Friday against Israel's Aerotel Ltd. in a case the company brought against London-based WaveCrest for infringement of a patent for telephone systems.
