Denied Pa. High Court, Judge Joins Cozen O'Connor

Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two weeks after his nomination to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court was rejected by Republicans in the state Senate, former state appellate court Judge James Gardner Colins has joined the Philadelphia office of Cozen O'Connor.

Colins will begin work in July in the firm's general litigation department, specializing in public utility and insurance regulation, the firm said Thursday.

Colins was the longest-serving judge on Pennsylvania's Commonwealth Court when he stepped down in January. He was a member of the court since 1984 and served two five-year terms...
