First DataBank Pays Over $1M To Settle AWP Case

Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- First DataBank Inc. has agreed to pay $1 million to plaintiffs to put to rest allegations that the drug-pricing publishing company helped increase the average wholesale price for numerous prescription drugs.

In an amended settlement agreement filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, First DataBank agreed to pay $1 million into a settlement fund for third party payors who claim they were forced to pay for the allegedly marked-up drugs.
