For Many Employers, Fla. Gun Law Raises New Fears

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Beginning July 1, 2008, all Florida businesses face the prospect of employees legally bringing guns onto work property inside their automobiles.

That’s because on April 15, 2008, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist signed into law a long disputed and politically divisive bill that allows employees to bring guns to work, as long as the firearm is secured in the employee's locked vehicle.
