Ohio Gov. Looking For Antitrust Holes In DHL Deal

Law360, New York (June 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the turmoil over DHL Express' tentative decision to ditch package handler ABX Air Inc. in favor of United Parcel Service Inc. intensifies, the governor of Ohio is reportedly trying to determine whether the freight handler's proposal constitutes a violation of federal antitrust laws.

Gov. Ted Strickland indicated on Tuesday that he was consulting his top legal advisers to find out whether DHL's stated plan to switch package handlers breaks competition rules, the Associated Press reported.
