DOJ Wants Info On Delta-Northwest Deal

Law360, New York (June 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Antitrust officials at the U.S. Department of Justice have asked Northwest Airlines Corp. and Delta Air Lines Inc. to provide more information about their proposed $17.7 billion merger.

Northwest representative Michelle Aguayo Shannon said Wednesday that the company had recently received the second request for information. A representative of Delta did not respond to a request for comment and a DOJ spokesperson would only say that the division is looking at the transaction.
