Nevada Bids To Block 'Absurd' Yucca Mountain Plan

Law360, New York (June 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Calling the U.S. Department of Energy's proposed plan for the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump “seriously — even fatally — deficient” and “absurd,” the state of Nevada filed a petition Wednesday asking the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to reject the government's license application.
